Sipi,the Nile and Rafting

Sipi Falls is a row of three beautiful waterfalls in the mesmerizing land of Uganda lying to the north of Mbale along the rim of the Mount Elgon National Park upon the Kenyan boundary. Nile is world’s longest river with two prime tributaries, the Blue Nile and the White Nile. The Ripon Falls on the northern limits of Lake Victoria is generally considered as Nile’s source. The Sipi Falls along with the Nile River offers you opt for an exciting safari in East Africa, the tour being comprised of the Sipi, the Nile and Rafting.

Sipi, the Nile and Rafting is an exciting tour which begins and ends in Kampala. Though this safari is a guided one, you can always prefer to choose the customized tour and can also extend your safari to Uganda and Classic Rwanda. Start your safari from Kampala to Sipi and savor your lunch on your way to Sipi. After arriving at Sipi, move towards the falls or the local shambas. Volcanoes Sipi Lodge situated on the lower slopes of eastern Uganda and dominating Sipi offers the ideal place for relaxation and exploration of the other three falls and caves. Spend your night there and the next morning climb up Mount Elgon and view the rock paintings. Trek to the Mount Elgon Conversation and visit other falls. Enjoy swimming in the natural plunge pool or visit the local village.

You can head towards the caves which are 100 meters in depth and have excessive deposits of minerals and salt. The next day, if you can manage some time, depart for seeing the Kakoro rock paintings and explore the origin of the Nile River at Jinja. Stopover in the Bujagali Falls and be prepared for half day white water rafting along 31 km of the river or enjoy bungee jumping. After spending your night in Jinja, enjoy an entire day of white water rafting along the wild rapids of Nile or bungee jumping at Nile High Bungee which is a 44 m plunge over the Nile with some choices of how you leap towards the source of Nile. Four of the violent rapids are ranked as grade 5. Travel back to Kampala in the late hours of the day.
