Nyungwe Forest National Park covers an area of about 970 sq km and comes with more than 260 species of flora. While going through this national park you might spot some of the rarest species of animals, like- chimpanzee, silver monkey, olive baboon, golden monkey, red tailed monkey, ruwenzori colobus and owl faced monkey. The visitors are usually excited to view the golden cats, leopards and the side stripped jackals found in this region. Over 120 species of colorful butterflies are found in this incredible forest reserve. You can even see three different species of horned chameleons in Nyungwe Forest National Park.
