Lake Nakuru National Park

Located in the central part of Kenya, Lake Nakuru National Park is one of the most popular national parks in Kenya. Covering a total area of about 188 sq km the Lake Nakuru National Park receives an annual rainfall of about 965 mm. The visitors are usually fascinated with the splendid view of the large number of flamingos found in the Lake Nakuru National Park. The spectacular view of millions of flamingos resting along the shores of lake Nakuru draws huge number of crowds from different corners of the world. One of the most popular spot in Lake Nakuru National Park is the Baboon Cliff, which offers you a magnificent views of the flamingos.

Apart from the flamingos you will be able to spot other birds as well in Lake Nakuru National Park. It is believed that more than 450 species of birds could be seen in Lake Nakuru National Park. You will get to see about 56 species of mammals in Lake Nakuru National Park, like- leopards, baboons, giraffes, lions and many more. One of the most endangered species the white rhinos can be seen in this incredible national park in Kenya. For the accommodation of the visitors there is lake Nakuru lodge and Sarova Lion Hill Lodge. Several activities are also organized in Lake Nakuru National Park, like bird watching and wildlife viewing.



A number of campsites are arranged in Lake Nakuru National Park, like- Bacpakers, Naishi, Reedbuck, Makalia and many more. You can even have the pleasure of climbing on the lovely hills like- Enasoit and Lion hill ridge. The Honeymoon hill is also quite popular with the tourists. Apart from the Baboon Cliff, two other view points in Lake Nakuru National Park are 'Lion hill' and 'Out of Africa'. You will definitely enjoy the national park due to its scenic beauty.
